In March 2020, I completed a self-survey that changed the direction of my life.
At the time, I had been a social worker for many years. On paper, things looked successful. I had progressed in my career, secured leadership opportunities, and was doing work that mattered.
But behind the scenes, I felt stuck.
I was questioning my future, feeling the effects of burnout, and carrying the weight of experiences that had left me disconnected from who I was and what I wanted next.
Completing that self-survey gave me something I didn’t realise I was missing: CLARITY.
For the first time, I could see the patterns behind my behaviour, understand my strengths more deeply, and recognise why certain environments energised me while others drained me.
That moment became the starting point of a much bigger journey.
I trained as a coach, invested heavily in my own personal development, redesigned my life, moved to the Caribbean, and began building Social Work DISCovery - a movement dedicated to helping social workers create longer, healthier and more fulfilling careers.
The Social Work Reset is the process I wish I’d had access to when I felt stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, and unsure what came next.
Because sometimes the next step isn’t leaving social work.
Sometimes the next step is reconnecting with yourself.
And that’s where real clarity begins.

The Social Worker Reset includes approximately 2.5 hours of video content, plus your Self-Survey, personalised report, and reflection activities.
The Self-Survey itself usually takes around 15 minutes to complete.
You can complete the full experience in one focused session, or work through it in smaller parts at your own pace.
I recommend setting aside 3–4 hours in total so you have time to watch, reflect, and apply the insights properly.
No.
The Social Worker Reset is designed for social workers across all areas of practice, including children’s services, adults’ services, mental health, education, health, and the voluntary sector.
It is also suitable for allied professionals who support children, adults, families, and communities, such as family support workers, personal advisers, youth workers, residential workers, practitioners, managers, and leaders.
The focus is not on a specific area of practice. It is about helping people who help people develop greater self-awareness, understand their strengths, and make more intentional decisions about their work and future.
You will receive access to the Self-Survey shortly after registering.
Once completed, your personalised report will be generated and made available for you to download and use alongside the modules.
Yes.
The Social Worker Reset is a structured professional development experience designed to support reflective practice, self-awareness, communication, leadership, and career development.
Participants are encouraged to record their learning as part of their continuing professional development (CPD) activities.
No.
The Self-Survey is not a personality test. Personality is complex and influenced by many factors, including your experiences, values, beliefs, culture, and life circumstances.
Instead, the Self-Survey focuses on understanding your behavioural preferences and communication style. It helps you explore the energy you naturally bring to your work and relationships, how you adapt in different situations, and how these patterns may be influencing your wellbeing, decision-making, leadership, and interactions with others.
The goal is not to put you in a box, but to help you better understand yourself so you can make more intentional choices in your life and career.
Not at all.
This experience has been designed for social workers and social care professionals, not coaches.
Everything is explained step-by-step, and the focus is on helping you better understand yourself and your next steps.
Yes.
The Social Worker Reset is self-paced, allowing you to work through the content at a time and speed that works for you.
You will retain access to the materials so you can revisit them whenever you need a reset.
You’re not alone.
Many social workers reach a point where they feel stuck, exhausted, uncertain, or disconnected from why they entered the profession.
The Social Worker Reset is designed to help you step back, reconnect with yourself, and make intentional decisions about what comes next-whether that means staying, changing roles, progressing, or exploring something new.
